The fall of 2015 was not good to me. I was several months into the hardest year of my teaching career. After 3 rounds of IVF, the doctor told us that biological children weren’t in the cards. We’d recently moved halfway across the country and I didn’t have any friends yet. I cried almost every day.
Seriously, it was bad.
My life today would have been completely unimaginable to me in 2015. I am a mother of two beautiful girls (yay adoption!) I no longer teach in the classroom, but tutor online. And I have friends!
I realize just how unbelievably lucky and blessed I am. On my bad days (and they happen!), I think back to me in the fall of 2015. I am so, so grateful for all have I have in my life now.
